While we will not shy away from seeking to illuminate the admittedly dire potential consequences of failing in our attendance to what needs to be done for successful navigation of the great global transformation underway, most concerned people have some level of familiarity with what these consequences may be. What may be less well known, is the truly dazzling level of human brilliance, creativity, good will, and applied diligence at work, across many fields and disciplines, and all over the world, to make this navigation successful. Two major objectives of this venue are 1.) to promote much greater awareness of such work, and 2.) to explore what are the forces serving either to facilitate or to frustrate the application and scaling of this work. As such, we not only welcome, we enthusiastically invite and encourage any communication in the service of these objectives; whether from concerned students, citizens, scientists, authors, journalists, policy makers and others. Indeed, a major part of our modus operandi will be to very actively seek partnership and cooperation with all of the above.
